I'm an addict.

I've been really rationing my scrapping time the past few weeks. I allowed myself to play today and then just never stopped. Once an addict, always an addict.

The real reason I couldn't stop is that I realized that if I just had a few more LOs done by tonight, I would get another free kit. How could I pass on that? So, here's the ones I'm allowed to share (I've got a Christmas present in the works that I'm not sharing yet).

Proper Credits have been given in my scrapmatters gallery-- that's enough, right? ;) I'm ready for bed.

I may be no where near the title "Queen of Scrap" (some people had 120 LOs!!!), but I think I qualify as a princess. You wouldn't disagree, would you?

Freebie Kits (whole kits!)

FYI: take it or leave it.

I got this kit for participating in the May Queen of Scrap contest at scrapmatters. The rules were to use 50% scrapmatters products and enter every page you make for the month. After 4 submitted pages, you get this great mega-kit for FREE.

Can't beat that, now can you? I guess I shoulda posted this sooner, but maybe (just maybe- don't quote me on it) you can still get in on it. Especially if you've done like 25 pages in the last week. I would say it is worth the try. All you have to do is upload your pages to your gallery at scrapmatters and then post them in the MQOS forum. You have until tomorrow night (31st) at midnight. Don't ask me what time zone because I don't know.

While I was looking for a good template earlier, I found this great kit in the FREEBIE section as well. I couldn't belive my eyes! Upon further inspection, it is just as good as the preview suggests.

So, I suggest you go get it for yourself. It's at scrapmatters, of course!

Two pages

"Private TMR" by Teresea Prince

"Little Boy Blue" alpha by GG Digital Designs

So, I put the title and when I went to upload the pics, I realized one of the pages is part of a top-secret-project that I can't show off yet. Bummer, huh?

And I guess I should explain this page a little... I've got to do it's second half for it to make complete sense. The journaling (well, just titles since I did the journal as it's own entire page) will be on the next page with all the statues. Basically this is the main square in Florence. The line of people in #8 are waiting to get into the Academia Museum that holds most of Michealangelo's original works. The "David" in #7 is the fake that they put out to get attention.

And now I have a sticky baby situation I must go deal with........

Feeling better

And what's the first thing I do?

Dishes?

nope.

Laundry?

nope.

Scrap a page 'real quick'?

You better believe it.

And amazingly enough, with that done, I'm feeling even better.

Tomorrow might actually be productive!

Journaling reads: Dear Child, Please accept my apology, if I had known what Aunt Amanda was going to do, I never would have left you with her that afternoon. You know she just likes to see Daddy mad, and this time she did! She had been working on Aurianna's halloween costume and thought you might look cute in it. Of course you look cute, but we've come to love you as a BOY! Please don't hold it against her as she really does love you. It's just that she gets these crazy ideas every now and again. I'll protect you better next time! ~Mom"

Quoting Al

This is another page for the Italy album. Thanks to dh for pointing out how useless and not really funny or interesting this story was/ (is?). I love that he uses no restraint when I ask for his opinion.... and by love, I mean......

Ok... nevermind! ;)

For this page I used a kit called "Just for Mom" by GG Digital Designs.

I would have a nice two-pager of The Oldest in bluebonnets when he was one (ooohh! so cute!) and another page for the Italy album... BUT.... the forces that be are working against me. My laptop wouldn't cooperate this afternoon when The Boys were with Grandma and the desktop keeps closing PS spontaneously tonight. I guess that means it's time to walk away for a few days.

I have willpower, right? I think it's in the back of the closet... (next to my skinny jeans)..... let me go and find it.....

Smartie Pants

This page is also very clean and uncluttered-- I guess that's just how I'm feeling this week! I just couldn't find anything that really added to it... everything seemed to distract from the pictures. Even journaling..... so this is it.

Tuscany (original title, no?)

So, yeah. Another two-page LO for the Queen of Scrap. I'm pretty shocked I finished this one today, what, with the failure cookies, tornado and that whole 'being a mom' thing. I must be getting better at this digi-scrapping thing! :)

Credits:
"Causal Friday Freebie", "About a Boy" and "Mother Nature" all from Scrapmatters' store. Font is "Freebooter Script".

I'm hoping to finish one more page (Pang's birthday if I can find the stinkin pictures!) after I get the boys to bed......

Queen of Scrap

There's no way I'll come close to claiming the title, but it's still fun to play along. Here's my lastest entries:
I'm tryin to scrap all the Italy pictures before we go to London in July. I haven't put a dent yet... but every page puts me a little closer!!! The journaling is what I wrote each night after some very full days. (Not exactly worth reading for anyone but me!) I like the look of this page though, the colors, the layout, I'm just very happy with it!!!
I used "Riptide" by SuzieBelle Designs.
This one is also a SuzieBelle Designs kit, "All Aflutter". I've used this one a lot, but I like the colors and she just makes really good, versatile elements.

I'm a minimalist today

I keep thinking "Let me add (this) or (that) but nothing looks right. So, this is it. I'm not thrilled with the wording, but in my view, the picture speaks for itself. Dh told me, "That's really a bad picture. You can't tell what's going on." Well... I can. Maybe he just needs to look closer.

What I couldn't put into words is how when The Baby was soaking up the sun's warmth, I was warmed by the love shown by my sweet hubby and oldest child. The concern and tenderness they showed......toward this newest addition to our family.... that's what I see when I look at this picture.

I'm motivated by the Queen of Scrap contest over at scrapmatters. They're giving away a freebie kit for playing along (minimum of 4 layouts submitted for the month of May) that will be fun to have..... so, yeah, go check it out.
